Tell me what you're working on.
Whether it's a stubborn machining problem, a retail concept that needs sharpening, or an idea about how people play — I'd love to hear it. Real replies, usually within two business days.
Four ways to start a thread.
Pick whichever channel feels lightest. Email is best for project briefs; the newsletter is for when you'd rather just follow along with what I'm thinking about.
Best for project inquiries, collaboration pitches, and questions about a specific article.

Three sentences is plenty to start. If you have a deck, a sketch, or a rambling voice note description, mention it and I'll write back with the next step.
Projects that get me out of bed.
I keep my calendar tight on purpose. These are the kinds of conversations that tend to lead somewhere useful — for both of us.
Machining & Prototyping
Feasibility studies, supplier scouting, and on-the-floor problem solving for small-batch manufacturing. Happy to come to your shop for a half-day audit.
Retail & Merchandising
Concept work for independent retailers, store-within-a-store layouts, and category resets. I work in sketchbooks before I open a spreadsheet.
Play & Toy Design
Concept development for products aimed at children and adults who refuse to grow up. Pattern testing, safety review, and packaging considerations.
Workshops & Talks
Half-day workshops for design teams and conference talks on cross-industry curiosity. Travel within Europe is straightforward; further afield, let's talk.
A few honest answers, up front.
The things people most often want to know before they hit send.
How quickly will I hear back?
Email usually gets a first reply within two business days. If your project is time-sensitive, mention the deadline in the subject line and I'll do my best to bump it up the queue.
Do you take on small projects?
Yes — within reason. A focused two-week sprint is often more useful than a sprawling six-month engagement. If I can't help, I'll point you to someone who can.
Where are you based, and do you travel?
I'm in Eindhoven, in the Dutch manufacturing heartland. I travel across Europe for client work and occasionally further for the right kind of project. Remote-first otherwise.
Can I republish or translate your essays?
In most cases, yes — just write first. For translations, I'd love to be involved in the edit so the nuance survives. There's a short syndication note in the insights archive.

I'm most active on a few platforms. If you only pick one, the newsletter is where my best thinking lands first.
